I’d forgotten how hard it was to get to sleep in a tent when it’s raining, and a van roof is no quieter! By the morning, the rain had died down, but so had my gas... Red 😕 I really didn’t want to leave my nice warm parking space - or sleeping bag - but my tyres were low, gas wasn’t going to last and the leisure batteries weren’t looking much better, so needs must...
There‘s an app which tells you where the nearest LPG pump is. I phoned the first; they were empty. So an 8 mile drive to the 24 hour ASDA it would have to be; their gas pump wasn't working. Morrisons then; first pump faulty; second one worked - yay!
I quite enjoyed the drive. I can’t get over how good the handling is on a van this size, especially on wet, windy, partially flooded roads like these.
i got back to the hotel, parked up, heating on and decided it was time to try the shower for the first time. Not bad to be fair.
So now I’m fully refilled with air, gas, diesel and I don’t smell! 👍 Nearly time for Sunday lunch 😀
Not a lot more to say today, I’m hiding from Storm Ciara and it‘s been much of a lazy day with a lazy Sunday lunch, music in the van, blue cheese, saucisson and brandy. It’s how Sundays should be, but I’m gonna get stir crazy after many more days...
